Word Games In My Pants

Let’s be frank, friends. Society, as a whole, is kind of immature. Sometimes this is annoying. Sometimes this is brilliant.

But this tendency has given us some fun word games to play, some of which can be used with book titles. And we here at Turtleduck Press like books.

I think we’re all familiar with the “in my pants” add-on. For those of you who are not (how is it under your rock?), you take a book title and add “in my pants” to the end of it. American Gods in my pants. Of Mice and Men in my pants. Hard Times…in my pants.

This also works with movie titles (Spaceballs in my pants) and with lines from Star Wars (“I feel a disturbance in my pants.”).

Or, you can go with the more classic fortune cookie “in bed.” The Great Hunt in bed. Boneshaker in bed.

But sure, it’s easy to just stuff an “in my pants” or an “in bed” on the end of a title and have it make sense. The true masters need a little more of a challenge.

So, I present for your consideration, “in accordance with the prophecy.” Something Wicked This Way Comes…in accordance with the prophecy.

What’s your favorite book title + add-on combination? Got anything good that goes with “in accordance with the prophecy”?

Come on, share!
